Heather Banker
Heather offers guitar, vocal and songwriting lessons.
Heather Banker is an award winning musician with over 25 years of full time music work in performance, recording, touring, teaching and mentoring. She has had shows on 3 continents - from New York City to Seattle, from Italy to Japan. Her versatility handles multiple genres, as demonstrated by her performances with multi-Grammy winning artists from members of the rock band ‘Heart’, to those of the Shirley Horn jazz ensemble.
Her background includes being a bandleader, collaborator, and solo artist, as a vocalist, rhythm guitarist, composer and arranger. One of her co- arranged pieces was part of a collaborative recording project that received the honor of a letter of appreciation from the office of the Vice President of the United States.
Heather has recently relocated here from her base in Seattle to her undergraduate town. She is committed to inclusivity and a supportive, kind environment for all skill levels, to uplift each individual’s unique creativity, and to share the joy of learning and making music. She is grateful to be part of like-minded CMI and the greater community.
